MMW – Mulher, Mujer, Woman – is a digital platform intended for creating architectural presentations, with an accent on women’s creativity and productivity within architectural profession.

Creators of this interesting platform are Brazilian architects Carol Vasques and Débora Boniatti. This unique idea has been made accessible with an intention to recognize and increase the presence of women – professionals in the field of architecture.

At this moment, the platform counts more than 13.000 followers from all around the globe. Main goal is to highlight ideas, work and accomplishments of women in architecture, by increasing the repertoire of references. Over 100 associates on this platform are actively engaged within a matter of women professionals’ representation in the field which has been, from historic standpoint, systematically and deliberately neglecting the contribution of women.

MMW represents a non-profit movement which strives to build confidence and visibility of those individuals who have been, up to this point, silent observers of the architectural profession and they do have a lot to say.

Feminist subjects are a part of the platform’s content, but putting an accent to “feminism” would represent an utterly wrongful qualification of the idea itself, considering that the authors are trying to investigate the position of women in architecture and to subtly emphasize it through projects designed by women, but not only for women.
